Wills : Execution
You do not need a Solicitor to execute or witness a Will.
The individual making the will must be over 18, must be sound of mind and not coerced into making the will. They must understand the contents of the Will. The will must be in writing and be witnessed by two witnesses whose signatures must then be witnessed by the individual making the will. It should also be noted that any subsequent alterations to the will must be similarly witnessed. Neither of your witnesses can be actual beneficiaries under the will or their legacies will be void. |
